Alex loves cars, and his birthday party was all about that and much more.  I went to T Y Park in Hollywood where Alex’s family and friends gathered to celebrate his 3rd birthday.  It was a beautiful breezy day and the kids enjoyed playing in the bounce house, feeding the animals at the petting zoo and riding the ponies.  They also enjoyed lots of candy, party favors, great food, a fun piñata, and a delicious cake.  As you will see in the photos, Alex enjoyed his day to the fullest.  Throughout the day we had to chase him down, wash his feet and hands, and change his clothes several times in order to take photos.  “Boys will be boys,” but he had a blast and I am sure he slept like an angel that night.

I recently went to the Arrieta’s home to photograph their son Nico’s first birthday party.  Their entire backyard became a beautiful playground for this occasion and Disney character themed decorations covered every corner of the place with vivid colors that just made you happy.  The decorations and enterntaiment were provided by “Fiestas Depot” and the babies and their parents had a wonderful afternoon playing games and dancing with Mickey, Minnie and Donald Duck.  You couldn’t help it but to dance and smile and I just couldn’t help it but to take tons of photos which I hope Nico, and his family and friends will enjoy.  Here’s a slideshow I put together with some of the pictures.  Happy Birthday Nico!!!!

It seems like it was yesterday when I took photos at Bianca’s Baptism, but she is already one year old.  Bianca’s birthday party was so much fun!  The theme was colorful balloon flowers and ladybugs.  There were clowns, slides and bounce houses, and lots of cool toys for all the babies to enjoy as well as a puppet show and face painting by Clowns Hunny & Hootsi, www.hunnytheclown.com.  Bianca and her little friends had a wonderful time and played to their hearts’ content.   Here’s a slideshow I have created with some of the photos from the party.  Enjoy!!!

Happy First Birthday Bianca!!!

I have covered a few events for Saba and her family and they have all been very special, but last Saturday I had the pleasure of shooting Saba’s very chíc wine tasting birthday party.  Saba is  the perfect example of, as they say, “just like good wine, you only get better with age.”  Saba is not only very beautiful, but such a charming lady!!  She celebrated her birthday in style.  Her guests enjoyed wine and tapas stations to please all palates.  There was a champagne station, a red wine station, a white wine station and a delicious desert station  featuring desert wines and after dinner liqueurs.  As the night progressed, the crowd just got more and more fun and I just had a blast shooting this party.  Needless to say, I expanded my knowledge about good wine and left the party feeling like a true wine connoisseur.  LOL.  Happy Birthday Saba!!!  Here’s to the next 50.  Cariños, Loly.

Some of my clients have expressed an interest in the crochet party favors that they have seen in some of my photographs.  For those who may be interested, I am posting some samples of the beautiful things “Tata” makes.  You can place your order through me (Tata is a little shy), and I will be happy to help.  The crochet creations are hand made and very unique, no two are ever alike.  I can tell you they are made with much love by a person who is just an angel from heaven.  She’s my aunt and I am so proud of her!!!  Here are a few photos of her beautiful work.

Sam is one!!!  You may have seen Sam’s photos throughout my blog as I have had the pleasure of capturing many photos during some of Lisa and Misael’s special moments with their beautiful son.   His first birthday party was no exception and they celebrated it with a fun party at Kendall Indian Hammocks Park with a colorful Sesame Street theme and lots of family, friends, kids, burgers, hot dogs, candy and cake, Yummmy!!!  Sam had a great time playing with his little friends and doing his newest most favorite thing, “walking” or more like “running” around the park.  Happy birthday Sammy.  Here are a few of the pictures from the party.

As promised, I’m posting a few of the many photos we took during my dad’s very cool 80th birthday party.  A group of my parents’ favorite people gathered at Indian Hammocks Park to celebrate Aldo’s birthday.  We had two pigs roasted “Caja China” style, and all the trimmings of a delicious typical “Cuban style” lunch catered by the specialists of La Caja China, you can check them out at www.lacajachina.com.  They rock!!!!.  The decorations, food, drinks, music, cake, and gifts were all amazing, but to all those who love my dad, the most amazing thing of the day was to see his joy throughout the party as he greeted his guests and felt surrounded by so many people who love him and wish him well.  It was an unforgettable day and we all had a blast.  Happy Birthday Aldo!!!

It was a beautiful afternoon at the park.  Felicidades Aldo!!!

 My father will be 80 years old on October 15th and to celebrate this milestone we will have a Cuban themed party next Saturday in his honor.  Aldo is not only a true gentleman, but  a very cool dad, grandfather, friend and source of inspiration to all who are fortunate to know him.  I recently took Aldo’s portraits and we used some of the photos to design his birthday party invitation.  I’m posting some of the photos I took as well as an old photo that was taken at a studio in our home town in Cuba when he was 28 years old.  Happy Birthday dear Aldo, I thank God for giving me such a good father and I wish you many, many more years filled with good health, and well deserved blessings.

I went to Indian Hammocks Park on Sunday to photograph Maya’s first birthday party.  It was a beautiful, sunny, breezy day and Maya looked like a doll in her Spring dress.  Maya is a very happy little girl and she enjoyed her party to the fullest.  She loved the Dora the Explorer decorations, and playing and dancing with her sister, little cousins and friends.  The food was amazing and family and friends joined in the celebration.  I don’t really know when the party ended because when I left it seemed like the group was not ready to call it quits.  Happy Birthday Maya!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAYA!!!!

Last Friday I went to the Martinez’s home on Catalina Lake to photograph their daughter Virginia’s 15th birthday party.  Virginia is a beautiful, sweet young girl who is adored by her family.  Virginia and her father delighted the group by dancing to “The way you look tonight.”  The lively party went on by the lake on a perfect moonlit Miami night.  Happy Birthday Virginia!!!!
