Beruvides Family Summer Portraits & Natty & Panchy with the grandchildren
Ana and Mario are my oldest son’s Godparents, and after many years of sharing our lives with them, my son was surprised when he discovered that we are not “blood related.” Well, sometimes the bond of a good friendship is as strong as that of family, and this is one such case. Ana, Mario, Danny, Erik and Victor and their family are part of my family, so it was my privilege to capture their portraits this summer during their visit to Miami. They are a beautiful, fun, and inspiring bunch and some of my most favorite people in the world. We also took the opportunity to capture some photos of the “abuelos,” Natty and Panchy with all their grandchildren on the same day. Enjoy the slideshow I’ve prepared with just a few of the many photos I took.

Back from Vacation
I just returned from my annual get away and most wonderful family vacation ever!!! All I have to say is that once again it was like being in paradise surrounded by people that just make me so happy I can hardly stand it. A friend recently told me that Sanibel is “exotic” and it left me thinking. I don’t know about exotic, but to us it is truly “magical.” I can’t wait to go back. Here are a few photos of the family. Happy times.

So my sister had her fabulous Easter brunch last Sunday. As usual, the backyard was beautifully decorated, the weather couldn’t have been nicer, and we had a great afternoon enjoying nice music (courtesy of my hubby), great food, mimosas, and much more, but as usual, the most delightful thing of all was the opportunity to spend some time among family and dear friends. The party was a success and my son, Chris and I were there to record it with our photographs. Please enjoy the slideshow I’ve created with some of the photos.
Magda’s Family Portraits
I got together with Magda and her family to shoot their faimily portraits. This year they have an addition to the family, baby Lucas, and he is the center of everyone’s attention. He is adorable!!! Of course they brought their dogs this year too and I must say they behaved very well. Please enjoy the slideshow I’ve created with some of their photos.
The Plasencia’s Family Portraits
Vanessa and Rudy decided to give their mother family portraits for her birthday, so on the day of Esther’s birthday we got together to take the photos. How wonderful is that? and how lucky am I to get to spend some time with this beautiful family on this very special day. It was a typically perfect Miami day at the park and at the beach. They had a great morning enjoying each other’s company and after the shoot, they decided to take Esther to a restaurant in South Beach to continue the celebration. I know Esther felt special, beautiful and very loved by her husband and children. I just drove away with a big smile on my face. To me, this is what life is all about. Happy birthday Estercita and may you have many, many more birthdays surrounded by your beautiful family just like today.

Rowan’s Newborn Portraits
I recently had the opportunity to shoot baby Rowan’s newborn portraits. Jake and Amy are the proud parents of this beautiful baby boy who has come to complete their happiness. I visited their home and we managed to bother baby Rowan who just wanted to sleep and be left alone. He behaved wonderfully, and other than a little “wet” accident, which dad handled beautifully, he simply posed like a little angel as I clicked away capturing many photos which I hope the family will cherish for years to come. Congratulations Amy and Jake, you have the most wonderful Christmas present anyone could ever wish for. I leave you with a slide show I have created with some of my favorite photos. Enjoy!!!
Natty & Panchy’s Family Portraits
Natty and Panchy are very classy people, and the coolest grandparents ever! It was my absolute pleasure to take their portraits with their six beautiful grandchildren, Danny, Erik, Victor, Leslie, Nicolas and Victoria. We took many photos during the session hoping for a few good ones, but they are so photogenic that all the photos turned out great, so, I created a slideshow using all of the images. Natty plays the piano beautifully and the melody I chose for the slideshow is one of the many that always reminds me of her.
Happy Birthday Natty & Panchy!!! Los quiero mucho
Family Vacation
We just got back from Sanibel Island from our traditional yearly summer vacation. This year it was just as wonderful as all the others. We enjoyed fun water activities, lots of relaxation, good food, parties and fun games every night, but the most important thing of all was the unforgettable time we spent with each other as a family and we left once again looking forward to doing it again next summer. Here are a few of the many photos we took.

Aldo’s 80th Birthday Party
As promised, I’m posting a few of the many photos we took during my dad’s very cool 80th birthday party. A group of my parents’ favorite people gathered at Indian Hammocks Park to celebrate Aldo’s birthday. We had two pigs roasted “Caja China” style, and all the trimmings of a delicious typical “Cuban style” lunch catered by the specialists of La Caja China, you can check them out at www.lacajachina.com. They rock!!!!. The decorations, food, drinks, music, cake, and gifts were all amazing, but to all those who love my dad, the most amazing thing of the day was to see his joy throughout the party as he greeted his guests and felt surrounded by so many people who love him and wish him well. It was an unforgettable day and we all had a blast. Happy Birthday Aldo!!!

Aldo’s 80th Birthday
My father will be 80 years old on October 15th and to celebrate this milestone we will have a Cuban themed party next Saturday in his honor. Aldo is not only a true gentleman, but a very cool dad, grandfather, friend and source of inspiration to all who are fortunate to know him. I recently took Aldo’s portraits and we used some of the photos to design his birthday party invitation. I’m posting some of the photos I took as well as an old photo that was taken at a studio in our home town in Cuba when he was 28 years old. Happy Birthday dear Aldo, I thank God for giving me such a good father and I wish you many, many more years filled with good health, and well deserved blessings.
