I recently had the pleasure of photographing Eli’s baby shower at the beautiful Riviera County Club in Coral Gables. A group of her family and closest friends enjoyed a lovely lunch, refreshing drinks, nice music, sweet treats, and a beautiful view of a perfect Miami afternoon.  Eli’s parents thought of every little detail, and the party turned out amazing.  Eli and her husband Dan are expecting their first daughter and everyone is looking forward to meeting her soon.  Congratulations to the new parents and their family.  XOXO

I recently had the pleasure of photographing Melissa’s baby shower.  On this picture perfect day Melissa gathered all her favorite ladies at her parents’ beautiful home, and together they celebrated the occasion enjoying good food, refreshing mimosas and very lively entertainment by Mariachis.  Congratulations to Melissa and her family on the arrival of their baby boy.

I had the pleasure of spending some time with Azi and Ralph at the Deering Estate taking their maternity portraits.  I later I joined Azi and her family and friends for a fun baby shower.  Azi and Ralph make a beautiful couple and are very excited about the arrival of their little girl.  Here are a few photos from both sessions.

My niece and nephew, Annette and Francisco are expecting a baby girl, and we joyfully gathered at La Palma Restaurant in Coral Gables to celebrate Annette and Annabelle’s Baby Shower.  It was a perfect Spring day and the courtyard was decorated with colorful watering cans filled with fresh Spring flowers and gardening tools.  Needless to say that in a family of photographers, a lot of photos were taken.  A big “THANK YOU” goes to my talented son, Chris Acuña for the photo coverage.  You can check his work out at Chris Acuña Photography.  Please enjoy the slideshow I have put together with some of the photos taken by Chris and by LolyPix. I hadn’t been to the 94th Aero Squadron in years, and it brought back so many good memories.  This time around I was there to photograph Marivi’s baby shower.  First of all a big “thank you” to my friend and wonderful photographer, Melissa from Simply Captivating Photography for the referral.  Marivi is not only beautiful, but has a wonderful personality and a contagious laugh that makes being around her an absolute delight.  She is also a Virgo, like myself, so needless to say, we hit it off from the moment we spoke on the phone.  The theme of the shower was Dr. Seuss.  The decorations were colorful and fun, and everyone got into character as soon as they walked in.  We all wore red and white hats, enjoyed a nice lunch, played games and opened lots of nice presents.  Marivi was surrounded by family and a group of very fun friends who kept the party lively, I really enjoyed being there with all of them.  Everyone is very excited about baby boy Mason and can’t wait to meet him.  Congratulations to all!!!

This baby shower was so adorable!  Bath time will definitely be one of baby Justin’s favorite time of day.  Vanessa and Alex had their baby shower at Alex’s parents’ home and they decorated the pool area with bright yellow rubber duckies and baby bath time favorites.  The center pieces were clever and fun and they were put together by Vanessa’s sister, Michelle, cousin Linette, and good friend Mirielle, from http://butterflywishesllc.blogspot.com/ It is always such a pleasure for me to cover this group’s events.  I just love the dedication and love they put into making each occasion a special one for the person they love.  We are all very excited about Justin’s arrival in May, and can’t wait to meet the little guy.  He is already very loved.  Congratulations to Vanessa and Alex and the entire big group of family and friends.  XOXO.

Gloria’s sisters surprised her with her baby shower details and with the help of the ladies from their family, they did an amazing job.   Gloria was very  touched and happy with everything.  The centerpieces were very original, I loved the little babies and the storks with top hats and blue feather theme, as well as the white rose details which guests got to take home, very clever!  The games they played were lots of fun and in particular, the puzzle game in which they took the time to enlarge one of Gloria’s favorite photos from our maternity shoot and made life size puzzles, this one turned out to be everyone’s favorite game.  Lunch was delicious, the deserts were amazing, creations of Sweetness Cafe, check them out at  http://www.sweetnessbakeshop.net/store.php The shower was a total success.  Congratulations Gloria, Ariel, and Alex.  I can’t wait to meet little Adrian.

Jason is going to love sports because everyone in his family is a sports fan, that’s why Yamy chose to have a sports themed baby shower.  Each table had a different sport theme, there was football, baseball, basketball, soccer and golf.  From the centerpieces to the place settings to the perfectly wrapped delicious cupcakes, Michelle and Jeannette, the organizers, just thought of everything.  The games were fun and the crepes made by the Crepe Maker www.crepemaker.com were yummy.  What’s not to like?  I had a wonderful time.  Yamilet was showered with lots of presents, big hugs and much love from her family and friends who can’t wait to meet little Jason.  Congratulations.  I can’t wait to meet him either.

I first met Tony and Yambrina when I photographed their bridal shower, well, they are now expecting their first baby and I had the pleasure of being there to photograph their baby shower.  The shower theme was the jungle and baby animals.  They did a great job on the decorations, from the invitation to the table centerpieces, to the cake , which were all about colorful animals.  Anthony Preston is the name they have chosen for their son and everyone is very excited about the arrival of this “little monkey.”

I recently went to Perricone’s Market Place & Cafe to photograph Terri’s baby shower.  Terri and Neman are expecting a baby girl, and their family and friends are filled with excitement about the arrival of baby Alexis.  The theme for the shower was a “Tea Party,” and the entire place was decorated with white teapots and cups delightfully filled with delicate pink and pastel color flowers.  This group consisted of 90 ladies who enjoyed a wonderful lunch, fun games and delicious cupcakes, but the most enjoyable thing for me was to see Terri’s happiness as she dreams of her baby girl.  Please enjoy the slideshow I’ve put together with some of the photos from the shower.
