Juan Manuel’s First Communion Portraits
I recently had the opportunity of capturing Juan Manuel’s first communion portraits. Juan looked very handsome in his communion suit and behaved like a trooper on a very hot day at the park. His first communion was celebrated on May 8th and I couldn’t attend due to a prior commitment, but they tell me he enjoyed his special day very much. Many blessings to Juan and his family. Here are a few of the photos captured during the pre-communion session.

At the end of the session Juan was ready to take off his shoes and run around the park, and so were his mom and I.
Darcy’s First Communion
I first met Darcy when I did her baptism photos a few years ago . I recently received a call from her mom asking me if I could take her first communion photos. Of course I said yes!!! I can’t believe how quickly time passes. Well, Darcy is just as beautiful, if not even more beautiful now than when I first met her. She is growing up to be quite the little lady, and she is just so sweet. It was very nice to see her and the entire family again celebrating yet another milestone in Darcy’s Christian life. Darcy looked like a princess in her communion dress. The ceremony took place at the Church of the Little Flower in Coral Gables, and the celebration followed with a lunch at Casa Juancho Restaurant. Darcy had a wonderful time playing and sharing her special day with her little sister, Ruth, and with her cousins who adore her. Congratulations and many blessings to Darcy and her family.
Olivia
I finally have a moment to post about Olivia’s First Communion day. You can see her portraits at Olivia’s Communion Portraits . On this beautiful day, we gathered at the Church of the Little Flower in Coral Gables where Olivia along with her classmates from St. Theresa Catholic School received her First Communion. Olivia looked angelic walking down the long church aisle wearing her beautiful long white dress. It was, no doubt, one of the most important days in Olivia’s life. Her mom told me how excitedly Olivia anticipated this joyful day. I will never forget the happiness in Olivia’s little face as she received her First Communion and her joy throughout the rest of the day as we celebrated the occasion. After church we enjoyed a delicious lunch at Los Ranchos Restaurant in Coco Walk. Olivia opened presents, played with her cousins and friends and we all had a great time. What a wonderful day!!!! May God continue to bless Olivia and all those who love her so much. A special “than you” to Annette and Chris for grabbing my camera from time to time so I could be in some of the photos .

Alan’s First Communion Portraits
I believe that a person’s true self comes out in front of a camera lens. I can look through the view finder and it’s almost like looking inside a person’s soul. I find it amazing each and every time. It is there that personalities like Alan’s just shine through. What a cool kid!!!! and sooo handsome!!!! I wanted to take him home with me. Alan is not only a very handsome fellow, but so polite, funny, and sweet. I met Alan and his mom, Aixa at the Coral Gables Entrance Park to take his First Communion portraits. This location was chosen by Aixa because it just so happens that her mother took her communion pictures at that very same spot many years ago. I love tradition!!! Alan also used his mom’s rosary and prayer book, which you can see him holding in his portraits. We shot the session at the end of a weekday and I initially thought I would have little energy after a looong day at the office, but the minute I met Alan, I forgot about all that and just had a great time shooting his portraits. May God bless Alan on his communion day and throughout his life. Here are some of the photos I captured.

Olivia’s Communion Portraits
I just adore Olivia!!! She is beautiful, sweet and so much fun!!!. She is also the little girl at the beach on the photo that you see on my web site banner. I love taking her picture!!! I had been anxiously waiting to do her portraits and finally last Sunday we decided to go around their neighborhood in the Gables and had a great time shooting at some cool spots. Olivia looked angelic in her beautiful white communion dress which was designed and made by her grandmother (her grandfather helped too, ”go Bobo”). Olivia will be receiving her first communion in May and we are all very excited around here. May God always bless Oliva and her family. I leave you with some of the many photos I captured, and also the slideshow I created especially for Olivia. Enjoy!!!

Time to rest. No more pictures please!!!!

Tata’s Creations
Some of my clients have expressed an interest in the crochet party favors that they have seen in some of my photographs. For those who may be interested, I am posting some samples of the beautiful things “Tata” makes. You can place your order through me (Tata is a little shy), and I will be happy to help. The crochet creations are hand made and very unique, no two are ever alike. I can tell you they are made with much love by a person who is just an angel from heaven. She’s my aunt and I am so proud of her!!! Here are a few photos of her beautiful work.
Crochet hats for showers

Your guests will love them!!
Little princess shoes hold mints or potpourri and are great for quinces, birthdays and showers
She also makes beautiful crosses which are great for First Communions and Christenings and little baby strollers which are great for baby showers. I don’t have photos of the crosses or strollers to post at the moment, but as soon as I do, I will do so.

I had a great time taking her communion portraits. We also took some family portraits and I could not resist Katherine’s little brother, Felix, who is just adorable. Congratulations to Katherine on her first communion.

Emily’s First Communion Portraits
I met the Falcon family on Saturday to take Emily’s first communion portraits. Emily was so easy to work with, she is a very beautiful and sweet little girl who is adored by her parents and little sister, Maya. After the session was over we only said so long because we would be meeting again the next day at Maya’s first birthday party. I will be posting those shortly. Here are a few of my favorites of Emily and some family shots. Many blessings to Emily and her beautiful family.

Noah’s Communion Portraits
I met with the Capper family recently to take Noah’s communion portraits. Noah was impeccably dressed in a traditional white communion suit and he made sure that all of his favorite pages in his prayer book were displayed in each one of his portraits, (that was very cute). We also took the opportunity to capture some family Spring portraits during the outing to share with grandparents. I am looking forward to Noah’s communion on April 12th and pray for many blessings for Noah and his beautiful family.
