Miami-Key Largo 55th Annual Sail Boat Race
Well, we don’t have the official results of the race yet, but I can tell you this, “WE ROCKED!!!!” Best one yet. With 13 to 16 knot winds out of the East the beautiful Morgan 41 sailboat, “Sea Glass” made impressive timing. The race was exciting all the way through, never a dull moment, with the boat leaning the whole time and some moments of adrenaline rush while crossing the channels under sail with the competition very near to our boat. Loved it!!! We made it to the finish line in record time leaving us plenty of time to relax and enjoy beautiful Key Largo. The way back on Sunday was just as enjoyable, we managed to miss all of the “bad weather” that was predicted and had a nice smooth sail back home. An unforgettable weekend for sure. A big thank you to our captain, Cary Capper, our wonderful crew, and our friends, Steve and “Red” in Key Largo for a wonderful weekend. Shout out to my son, Chris for getting up very early to photograph us at the starting line. You can view some of his photos at http://www.mangosandpeaches.com. Needless to say I had my camera with me at all times, and took lots of photos. I’ve put together a slideshow with a few of the shots. Enjoy!!!! Merry Christmas to all!!!!
The photos for our Christmas cards this year were taken by my very talented son, Chris. You can check out his work at www.mangosandpeaches.com We went to New York with the family over the Thanksgiving weekend and had an unforgettable time. The highlight of the trip for me was walking the Brooklyn Bridge. This bridge is not only a historical monument, but an example of architectural genius and incredible work of art. Needless to say between Chris and myself we took a ton of photos. We chose these two as favorites for our Christmas cards. I want to wish all my family and friends who follow my blog a very Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year. We will be spending our Christmas at home with all our family around us (all 40 of them, LOL). I can’t think of anything better than that. “Feliz Navidad.”

Work, work, work & a little play!!!
I worked all weekend covering some fun parties, which I will be posting soon, but I also managed to get away for a little while to enjoy the company of my husband and some of our friends. What a beautiful weekend this was!!! and how lucky are those of us who get to live in Miami where our playground is breathtaking blue ocean and warm tropical breeze. I’m ready for the week ahead. Here are some photos we captured.
