It has been Bertica’s dream to have a big party  surrounded by her family and good friends to celebrate all the good things in her life. What a great idea!  Well, her dream recently came true, and I had the pleasure of photographing the event.  They celebrated Bertica’s birthday, her mother, Nieve’s birthday, and Bertica and Carlos’ wedding anniversary.  The party was so much fun, and everything was so beautiful!  The event design, production, and catering was provided  by  Suzanne Michael Haute Cuisine & Events,  The music was provided by David Oliva’s band and the party was just a blast.  I leave you with some shots and a music slideshow from the night.  Enjoy!

It was such an honor for me to be part of Santiago’s 70th birthday celebration.  Santiago, Eloisa and their family have become part of the LolyPix family through the years.  I am very grateful for their friendship and loyalty and it makes me happy to be able to preserve so many good memories for their beautiful family through my photographs.  This time they were celebrating Santiago’s 70th birthday and family and friends gathered at the Coral Gables Country Club where they enjoyed a very lively party.  Their happiness was contagious.  We all enjoyed nice food, great music by Carlos Rafael and Maria from “agozarcongonzalez”, and a wonderful Carnaval hour that had everyone out on the dance floor.  What a great pary!  Felicidades Santiago.  I wish you a very happy birthday and many, many more enjoyed in good health and surrounded by all the people who love you.

It’s Valentine’s Day and I can’t think of better timing to post about Eric & Jeannette.  I had the honor of photographing their rehearsal dinner, and it was the highlight of my week.  Eric and Jeannette are just a great couple. Their rehearsal dinner was the perfect way to kick off the wedding celebrations, and the happy couple enjoyed the night among close family and friends who have helped them make their dream wedding a reality.  Everyone received thank you presents from Eric and Jeannette, but most important, everyone was happy and very excited about the wedding.  Congratulations Jeannette and Eric and enjoy your first Valentine’s Day as a married couple.  Happy Valentine’s Day!  XOXO

I have been to a lot of fun birthday parties, but this one was just all around awesome!  Alessandra is one year old and her big brother Nico is three.  This year their parents decided to celebrate their birthdays together with one big party and it was the best idea ever.  The theme of the party was pirates and the beautiful decorations were specially made for “Captain Nico” and “Princess Alessandra” by Play Garden.  Little ones enjoyed amusement park rides, bounce houses, gym playground, craft tables where they decorated treasure chests, princess crowns, and pirate swords.   The food was catered by El Rey de las Fritas truck.  OMG, you just can’t go wrong with that, it was out of this world.  Nico and Alessandra had a great day playing with their friends and I had a great time playing with all of them.  It is so much fun to be a kid!  Happy Birthday Alessandra and Nicolas.

For the second year in a row I was fortunate to attend and photograph the Merici Academy Summer Reunion.  The Merici Academy was an all girl Catholic school founded in Havana, Cuba in 1941.  This group of ladies have quickly grown on me and when I’m around them, I kind of feel like one of their own.  This year’s event got started with a mass officiated by Father Ernesto Fernandez-Travieso, followed by a fun cocktail hour where “the girls” got to see old friends and reminisce looking through old photographs.  We then continued to a lunch and celebration of anniversaries of the Classes of 1946, 1951, 1956 and 1966.  I love it!!!  Thank you ladies for being so classy and for trusting me with the photos of your event.It was a blast!!!
