I had the pleasure of photographing Rebecca’s baby shower last Sunday.  Rebecca’s mom decorated her home beautifully for the occasion with many delightful details.  A group of very nice ladies enjoyed a delicious lunch, nice music, cold refreshing drinks and fun games, which made for a perfect afternoon.  Rebecca looked radiant and enjoyed the love and attention of her family and friends.  Congratulations to Rebecca, Danny and their family.  Here are a few of the photos captured at the party.

I went to Matheson Hammock Park on Saturday morning to take “grandchildren” portraits for Christmas presents and holiday cards.  It was fun to work with this crowd and very challenging to encourage everyone to keep their eyes open on this very bright morning.  I am here to tell you that Miami truly is the “squint capital of the world.”  In spite of the conditions, we managed to get a few good shots that hopefully grandma will love.  A big “thank you” to the kids, but especially to the grown ups for the cheerleading session they conducted to make Alexander look at the camera.

I recently went to St. Martha’s Catholic Church in Miami Shores where Alexander got baptized.  The Dieguez family invited family and friends to their home after the ceremony for a nice lunch in celebration of the happy occasion.  Alexander looked beautiful in his white outfit and behaved very well throughout the ceremony and party.  However, he couldn’t resist the temptation while posing for photos near his cake and got in trouble at the very end.  Oh well, he’s allowed for being such a “sport.”  May God bless Alexander and his family.  Congratulations!!

We went to South Beach very early in the morning on Saturday to take Dylan and Hunter’s portraits.  It was chilly when we first got there, but after racing the kids down to the beach, we all got in the mood for pictures.  Dylan and Hunter are not only very beautiful and well behaved children, but ”naturals” at this photo thing.  They had a great time, and it was just so much fun for me to take their pictures.  We got so many good shots that it was hard to pick just a few to post here, but after a long struggle and with the help of my family, here are the ones we came up with.  I hope you enjoy them!!!

On Saturday I went to the Courtyard Marriott Hotel in Miami Beach to photograph Dayse and Oscar’s welcoming dinner.  Many of their family members traveled to Miami from far away places to celebrate Dayse and Oscar’s new life together.  This lively group enjoyed a very nice evening as they toasted to the couple’s happiness and cheered them on in expectation of their Sunday wedding.  Congratulations!!! 

On Sunday, November 4th, 2007, James Reed Kellogg was baptised at the Coral Gables Congregational Church by The Reverend Guillermo Marquez-Sterling.  Jason and Cassandra are the proud parents of this beautiful baby  and are surrounded by a loving family.  After the ceremony we went to the Kellogg’s lovely home in South Miami for a very nice reception where the family enjoyed a delicious lunch, cake and champagne toasts to James Reed’s long and happy life.  These are a few of the photos I captured during the ceremony and a some portraits of this “picture perfect” family.  Many blessings to James, Jason and Cassandra and their family.

On Sunday, October 28th, 2007, I had the pleasure of photographing Maria Eugenia and Jose Luis’ beautiful wedding at La Palma Restaurant in the heart of Coral Gables.  When I met this couple, I felt as if I had known them all of my life.  They are so sweet and were surrounded by so much love, which is an indication of how special they both are.  They had nothing but kind gestures and genuine love for all of their guests, young and old.  The ceremony was heartfelt and the delicious food, lively music and fun crowd completed a wonderful afternoon.  Best wishes to this nice couple for a long, healthy and happy life together.
