Laura’s Baby Shower

Laura, Alex and Bianca are very excited about the soon to be new addition to their beautiful family, baby boy Alejandro Jose.  A group of Laura’s family and friends recently gathered to honor Laura at her baby shower.  The shower was beautifully put together by Laura’s mom, Eloisa, and her best friend Rebecca.  It was a gorgeous spring afternoon and the group enjoyed a nice lunch as they wished the family many blessings.  Congratulations to all.

Miami-Key Largo 55th Annual Sail Boat Race

Well, we don’t have the official results of the race yet, but I can tell you this, “WE ROCKED!!!!”  Best one yet.  With 13 to 16 knot winds out of the East the beautiful Morgan 41 sailboat, “Sea Glass” made impressive timing.  The race was exciting all the way through, never a dull moment, with the boat leaning the whole time and some moments of adrenaline rush while crossing the channels under sail with the competition very near to our boat.  Loved it!!!  We made it to the finish line in record time leaving us plenty of time to relax and enjoy beautiful Key Largo.  The way back on Sunday was just as enjoyable, we managed to miss all of the “bad weather” that was predicted and had a nice smooth sail back home.  An unforgettable weekend for sure.  A big thank you to our captain, Cary Capper, our wonderful crew, and our friends, Steve and “Red” in Key Largo for a wonderful weekend.  Shout out to my son, Chris for getting up very early to photograph us at the starting line.  You can view some of his photos at  Needless to say I had my camera with me at all times, and took lots of photos.  I’ve put together a slideshow with a few of the shots.  Enjoy!!!!  To see all the photos from the race please click on the”galleries” section to your right and scroll down to find the “Miami to Key Largo Regatta 2010″ album.

Lourdes’ Maternity Portraits

I met Lourdes & Jose over a year ago when I photographed their bridal shower.  Last Saturday I had the pleasure of shooting their maternity session, and I will also be photographing their baby shower next weekend.  Someone once told me that the photo business was a “one time deal” with clients, boy were they wrong!!!  My wonderful clients return to me for many of their events and I feel that in a small way I am part of their lives.  It’s wonderful to walk into a party or a wedding and see so many familiar faces of past clients who have recommended me to their friends.  It happens constantly, and I love it!!!  Anyway, I met this beautiful couple at Matheson Hammock Park very early in the morning last Sunday after I had a long day and late night the day before shooting a baby shower and an engagement cocktail party, so needless t say, I had a rough start,  but after two cups of coffee, and seeing Lourdes and Jose’s sweet smiles, I managed to have a wonderful session and ended up with a lot of nice portraits.  Lourdes and Jose are very much in love and will make wonderful parents.  They are anxiously anticipating the birth of their first son, Austin.  Here are some of the photos from the session.  Enjoy!!!

Carola & Rafael’s Engagement Party

What a beautiful couple!!!  Carola and Rafael are very much in love, and family and friends gathered to celebrate their recent engagement.  The group enjoyed tapas, cocktails, and good music as they toasted to the couple’s life long happiness.  In spite of a little rain, which in my mind only confirms heaven’s blessing, the party was a great success.  Congratulations to Carola, Rafa and their beautiful family!!!  Please enjoy the slideshow I’ve created with some of the images captured at the party.

Ana’s Easter Party

So my sister had her fabulous Easter brunch last Sunday.  As usual, the backyard was beautifully decorated, the weather couldn’t have been nicer, and we had a great afternoon enjoying nice music (courtesy of my hubby), great food, mimosas, and much more, but as usual, the most delightful thing of all was the opportunity to spend some time among family and dear friends.  The party was a success and my son, Chris and I were there to record it with our photographs.  Please enjoy the slideshow I’ve created with some of the photos.
