Ana & Michael’s Vows Renewal Ceremony

Ana and Michael are celebrating their twentieth wedding anniversary this month, and as a surprise to Ana, Michael planned their wedding vows renewal ceremony.  The celebration took place at Temple Menorah in Miami Beach where their family gathered to witness the event.  Ana and Michael stood under the “chuppah” just as they did twenty years ago, but this time they were surrounded by their children, Joel, Jordan and Rachel who joyfully watched as their parents reaffirmed their wedding vows, love, and commitment to one another.  Michael’s words were heartfelt and touching and Ana was just “speechless,” but she managed to say a few things that made Michael smile.  After the ceremony, they went on to enjoy a celebration dinner at a favorite restaurant.  I was happy to be there to capture some photos of the beautiful ceremony for them.  “Mazel Tov my friends!”

Alexander’s 3rd Birthday

Alex loves cars, and his birthday party was all about that and much more.  I went to T Y Park in Hollywood where Alex’s family and friends gathered to celebrate his 3rd birthday.  It was a beautiful breezy day and the kids enjoyed playing in the bounce house, feeding the animals at the petting zoo and riding the ponies.  They also enjoyed lots of candy, party favors, great food, a fun piñata, and a delicious cake.  As you will see in the photos, Alex enjoyed his day to the fullest.  Throughout the day we had to chase him down, wash his feet and hands, and change his clothes several times in order to take photos.  “Boys will be boys,” but he had a blast and I am sure he slept like an angel that night.

Happy Birthday Alex!!!

Darcy’s First Communion

I first met Darcy when I did her baptism photos a few years ago .  I recently received a call from her mom asking me if I could take her first communion photos.  Of course I said yes!!!  I can’t believe how quickly time passes.  Well, Darcy is just as  beautiful, if not even more beautiful now than when I first met her.  She is growing up to be quite the little lady, and she is just so sweet.  It was very nice to see her and the entire family again celebrating yet another milestone in Darcy’s Christian life.  Darcy looked like a princess in her communion dress.  The ceremony took place at the Church of the Little Flower in Coral Gables, and the celebration followed with a lunch at Casa Juancho Restaurant.  Darcy had a wonderful time playing and sharing her special day with her little sister, Ruth, and with her cousins who adore her.  Congratulations and many blessings to Darcy and her family.

Kendris Eduardo’s Baptism

You may remember Jackie and Mau from their baby shower photos. They are among my favorite people, and I knew this the moment I met them.  I recently met them again to photograph their son, Kendris Eduardo’s christening.  Reverend Eugene Mitchell celebrated the beautiful ceremony at St. Jude’s Catholic Church in Brickell, and the reception was held at The Knife Restaurant in Coconut Grove.  It was an unforgettable day for this family who are thrilled to have Kendris in their lives.  May God always bless them and may he guide Kendris in every step he takes.  Congratulations!!!

Nelly, Mikey, Michael & Victoria

We met at Matheson Hammock Park on a hot Miami day to shoot some family portraits.  Nelly & Mikey are blessed with two wonderful children, Michael and Victoria.  They have a lot of fun together, and it was just such a pleasure to hang with them.  Michael and Victoria are lucky to have such cool parents.  Nelly is an awesome mom, and I’m dedicating this Mother’s Day post to her and her beautiful family.  Happy Mother’s Day!!!!

Lourdes & Jose’s Baby Shower

I recently had the pleasure of photographing Lourdes and Jose’s baby shower at the Doral Park Country Club.  Lourdes is a teacher and a very talented and careful planner, so needless to say, her shower was perfect in every little detail.  Their theme was little green turtles and the feel of spring filled the entire room with refreshing colors of green, yellow and white.  Lourdes and Jose enjoyed a delicious lunch with their friends and family and had a great time sharing their many plans for their son, Austin’s birth.  I hear that Austin’s room is also decorated with little turtles and someone at the shower said that Austin is probably going to think he is a turtle when he opens his eyes and looks around his room.  I thought that was very funny.  I can’t wait to meet Austin and the first thing I am going to tell him is that he is a “very lucky little turtle.”  LOL.  I leave you with a slideshow I have created with some of the photos captured at the party.  Enjoy!!!
