Merici Academy Summer Reunion
I recently had the pleasure of attending the Merici Academy Summer Reunion at the Hotel Sofitel. The Merici Academy was a Catholic school for girls founded in La Habana, Cuba in 1941. This year’s event got started with a mass officiated by Father Ernesto Fernandez-Travieso, followed by a fun cocktail hour where old friends gathered and shared stories, photographs and lots of good memories. We then continued on to the luncheon and the ladies had a great time celebrating anniversaries and hugging friends, some of which they had not seen in many years. They enjoyed a nice lunch, lots of door prizes and a raffle. This year artist George Rodez donated a painting from his Afro-Caribbean series. The Merici Luncheon pictures are beautiful! Everything came out perfectly and everyone had a grand time! One could feel the “happiness and camaraderie” in the Air! Love the photos!

Acabo de ver el slide show del almuerzo y quiero felicitarte, no solamente estan magnificas las fotos, sino que no se te olvido ningun detalle, parece como si fueras una Mericiana mas, le pusiste un amor y una dedicacion al proyecto como si hubieras ido una de nosotras.
